To keep you house and resources safe -> claim your land
As soon as you can, Claim some land !!
First land is claimed with a crest
and keep it safe WITHIN a house !!!!
(a one-tile house is enough)
ANYONE with access to the crest can AUTORISE them selves to use anything on your land,
so you really NEED to keep it inside a house with a door.
You can only autorise on ONE crest at a time, but multiple players can autorise on same crest
This will lock any (closed) doors on any house on your land
Accessible containers can be looted!! so keep doors shut!
